So these are my five L`s. But my question to you is: what are your five L`s? You can take those five L`s and then write down a list of your activities, I think, what each one consists of. You can find your own areas of life that are important and then see how they could be divided. Maybe in this case, we have those five Ls instead of 8-8-8. I still think we should sleep eight hours. Let`s say we`re going to sleep at eight o`clock. Let`s say that for one day, we say two for well-being and well-being. So it`s practice and meditation. More than that, right? Three, perhaps? Breaks and walks and so on. Does that sound good to you? Does that sound better than what you have now? Does that sound feasible to you? Does it even sound like something you want to do? Eight hours of work, is that more or less than what you are doing now? Eight hours of free time? What is free time? What is included in these lessons? And eight hours of sleep. Do you need more or less sleep? I certainly got less than that when my little baby Zach didn`t sleep all night. He has now started sleeping through the night, but still wakes up quite early. But is this the ideal model? Is that what we should all strive for? And is the most important thing you want to look for, the 8-8-8? Are you familiar with the 8-8-8 rule? It`s a very simple concept of life and maybe you don`t know that you follow this rule every day.

It is a truly wise principle that has guided man for countless years without man even knowing that such a principle exists. Rule 8-8-8 is simply the rule of life and existence. It is a concept that, if followed, allows man to live in this world with good health, satisfying relationships and a high level of well-being. And then the last eight are free time. And again, I said that the Romans and Greeks [inaudible 00:05:38] fighting for art and philosophy, I would also put physical and mental health, family, partner, relationship, learning, development. And you know what? I suddenly had the thought, and forgive me if I`m naïve, but I suddenly thought, what about life administration and accounting, dishwasher, laundry, tidying up and all that sort of thing, right? Where the hell does this lead? That should go into the work, I think. The nine-to-five, I think, is largely based on the assumption that, say, the man in the office is working, comes home and the woman has worked nine to five, but her eight hours of work are household chores. I guess there are two reasons why you would work longer. You may need to do this to put food on your table, which is fair enough – or very unfair if you know what I mean. On the other hand, you could take penalty hours because your employer or industry requires it to make the company as much money as possible and, in some cases, get rich along the way. Anyway, it`s not good.

You need hours of wakefulness without work for your own mental health, the health of your family, and the well-being of the community. Part of the VIEV philosophy is that humans don`t fit naturally into these 8-8-8 time silos and column subcategories. Time is only a construction, a way of thinking and acting effectively. It is also finished. Even though we always want more, the only way to do it is to make the most of the hours we get. What exactly is this 8-8-8 rule? I`m not going to make a fuss about it: it`s simply a rule that represents the existence of 24 hours of our lives. Each 8 represents 8 hours in a man`s life. To put it simply, there are meanings associated with each number 8, and this guides the man. But again, my question is: what is your optimal ratio? What is your distribution? So I leave that question to you. Take your notebook and your pen, formulate your different priorities. See what the separation might look like for you.

This is not a mathematical exercise. I do not think we will ever get to the ideal distribution, but I think it is an interesting question. Instead, I will continue to try, and probably fail, to bring my FYWLBI to the sacred 8-8-8. These must be the right numbers to hunt. That`s what I called the episode. And let me tell you what it is if you`re not familiar. So the nine to five are 40 hours a week. It`s those nine to five, what people tell me of course, Anna, I don`t do nine to five. And I get it. But that`s the concept, isn`t it, that we all know and love or hate. We understand what it represents.

The nine to five, eight hours a day. So it`s the eight, the first day eight in the 8-8-8 model. Eight hours of work, eight hours of free time and eight hours of sleep. So my question is: how does it sound at first? Let it sink somehow. One of the main concerns in today`s world for anyone belonging to a region or industry is achieving a healthy work-life balance. People work hard by finding every possible option to achieve a happy and balanced life that can meet their needs in both professional and personal life. But the harsh reality is that the majority of people, regardless of the level at which they work in their professional lives, struggle to achieve this goal. I would have thought that the march of human progress, whether through AI or otherwise, should move towards the goal of eight hours of work, eight hours of play and eight hours of sleep. But we seem to be moving further and further away from it. The management consultants I met also seem to be working absurd hours. As I understand it, these are the same people who are paid to tell us how to make things better.

But they can`t even organize well enough to hire enough people to do the necessary work in a reasonable amount of time. I can only imagine that this helps bank and consulting customers believe that they will get their money`s worth when they see that all the hours God sends are worked.
