The borough`s mayor is Cllr John Story and the wife of Mayor Barbara Story. [9] The borough was formed on 1 April 1974 as one of the six standard boroughs or boroughs of Berkshire under the Local Government Act 1972 from small parts of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, which remained administrative counties for over two decades, so Berkshire assumed the functions of high-level local government for the resulting area. The change merged the boroughs of Maidenhead and Windsor (formerly the Royal Borough of New Windsor), the rural districts of Cookham and Windsor, and in Buckinghamshire, north of the Thames (on the left bank): Eton Urban District and the parishes of Datchet, Horton and Wraysbury into its rural district. [2] The area immediately inherited by law the status of Royal Borough of the City of Windsor, where Windsor Castle is located. There are 14 councillors and 1 municipal council in the district: the council`s strategy and communication department was tasked with bringing together internal services and external partners, compiling and communicating support in an accessible manner in order to reach those in need in a timely manner. Access to earlier support and prevention would be at the heart of the campaign, which they wanted to prioritize for a quick and fast start in early May 2022. Starting Sunday, October 30, preliminary changes to subsidized bus services in the district will come into effect to help operators have a smoother post-Covid journey. The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is a royal district in Berkshire, England. It is named after the towns of Maidenhead and Windsor, and the borough also includes the neighbouring towns of Ascot and Eton. It is home to Windsor Castle, Eton College, Legoland Windsor and Ascot Racecourse. It is one of four boroughs authorized to be preceded by the Royal prefix and one of six unitary county authorities with historical and ceremonial status.

The district is located on the River Thames. About half of the river that runs through the district has a bypass and a seasonally variable flood relief channel, the Jubilee River. Additional flood relief channels are planned in areas below the district to benefit many other settlements, including Datchet and Wraysbury in the district, which were hardest hit by the British storms of January-February 2014. [4] While the cost of living was high on the media and political agenda, and many councils communicated through individual programs, at the time the council could not find councils that had conducted concerted campaigns that pooled support on a territorial basis. They held meetings with key community partners to find out what support they could add to the site and understand how they could use their channels to reach those in need. For example, Housing Solutions offered to post posters on billboards on the property, send a special e-shot to tenants, and distribute posters to their homeworkers, which they could give to anyone who raised concerns about the cost of living during maintenance visits. The campaign name „Here to help“ and the slogan „Helping you with the cost of living“ sought an accessible and non-judgmental tone to encourage people to seek help as soon as possible. This was reflected in the central message in all documents. The Royal Borough is represented in Westminster by two Conservative MPs: Adam Afriyie (for Windsor) and Theresa May (for Maidenhead). Maidenhead has been held by the Conservative Party since its creation in 1997.

Windsor has been held by the same party since 1874, with varying representation since its formation in 1484, including more than 350 early years with two MPs. Small portions of constituencies from other seats, including the unitary area of Slough and Wokingham, were temporarily included in each seat to avoid misdistribution, which is a definition of boundaries that makes each MP serve a significantly different number of potential voters (voters) than the others. [5] [6] The choice of name and the message of „help“ allowed the campaign to run smoothly and encouraged a number of stakeholders to get involved to avoid miscalculations that this was a political or symbolic coup. Partner buy-in was also gained through calls to action in electronic launch fire, as follows: Pilot a Spitfire simulator at this local museum that covers local history, from the Romans to racing.
